What is the HCJ Balearic Islands?

The High Court of the Balearic Islands is located in Majorca and constitutes a judicial first instance that forms part of the general framework of the sole judiciary of the State, adapted to its territorial competence.  

It is the maximum judicial organ in the territorial sphere of the autonomous community, without affecting the jurisdiction that corresponds to the Supreme Court (article 152 of the Constitution) and matters that require constitutional guarantees, competence for which is attributed to the Constitutional Court.

The president of the high court is the maximum representative of the judiciary in the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands.

The High Court of the Balearic Islands is located on Plaҫa de Mercat square in Palma de Mallorca.
